Creating a series of activities that the whole family can enjoy such as trivia nights and hiking events, encouraging families to detach from screens and enjoy intentional time together.
Working with Municipal Council to forge bipartisan paths forward through examining every proposed ordinance and ensuring that those approved are genuinely in the best interest of our citizens.
Encouraging and incentivizing citizens to create programs, events and volunteer opportunities for the betterment of the municipality.
Ensuring that the Mayor’s presence is intentional throughout the community as a means of interaction with citizens, not simply to be seen.
The Lloyd family has lived in Bethel Park’s 7th Ward for over a decade. Jon comes from a background in technology and music, which contribute to his job as an IT Infrastructure Engineer as well as his role as President of the Bethel Park Music Boosters. The Lloyd family also proudly owns two rescue pups, Bojangles and Dexter.
Jon was a trumpet performance major in college, and can still be found playing with Pittsburgh’s own Community Band South on occasion.
Jon and his wife Nikki have three children, Braden, a Junior music education major at West Virginia University, Riley, a senior at Bethel Park High School, and Noah, a sophomore at Bethel Park High School.
Jon is passionate about helping others realize their potential, and fighting for the voices of those who are largely unheard.
Fun fact – Jon is also a private chef! He was a semi-finalist for a national cooking competition on FOX with Chef Gordon Ramsay and maintains a full-scale private chef and catering business. You may have even seen him on one of his multiple appearances cooking for the hosts of Pittsburgh Today Live on KDKA! He also has a YouTube channel where he demonstrates outdoor cooking recipes right from his home in Bethel Park (You can find that here)!
